Description
In 2025, the Garmin Mountain Festival is introducing a new concept for children’s races: the Garmin Family Race, a unique experience in which parents and children compete together on an exciting obstacle relay course.
The race is designed for adults and children to work as a team and share the excitement of the sport. Each team will be made up of one adult and one child or 3 people in the U13 category (1 child + 2 adults or 2 children + 1 adult), and together they must complete a circuit adapted to the child’s age.
1. CHILD STARTS
The child starts the race by overcoming different obstacles.
2. RELAY TO ADULT
Upon arrival at the relay zone, the child will pass the baton to their companion, who will complete their section of the circuit.
3. CROSS FINISH LINE AS A TEAM
In the last leg, the adult and child will run together to cross the finish line as a team.
The circuit will include dynamic and safe obstacles such as small straw walls, zigzag sections, ramps and balance tests, ensuring an exciting experience for everyone.
U7 (2019-2021)
Short course without relays. It can be done accompanied by one or more family members. The whole team must cross the finish line holding hands.
U10 (2016-2018)
Race with one lap for children, relay to the adult and final stretch together.
U13 (2012-2015)
Race with two laps for children, relay to the adult and final stretch together. 3 family members can participate in this race.
